Privacy Notice

1. Who this is from

This notice explains what personal information DWE CR Consulting ("the practice", "I") and Dear Wise Earth Costa Rica SRL ("the company") collect, why, how it is handled, and what rights you have. Together, the practice and the company are the "data controller" for the purposes of this notice.

2. What is collected

When you book an introductory call via Calendly:

  • Name and email
  • Anything you choose to share in the booking notes

When you purchase a service via Paddle:

  • Name and email
  • Billing address (required by Paddle for tax and VAT calculation in some regions)
  • Payment details, handled directly by Paddle. The practice never sees or stores your card information.

When you write to connect@dearwise.earth:

  • Whatever you choose to include in your message

When you visit this site:

  • The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
  • The hosting provider (Vercel) and the font CDN (Google Fonts) may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, page requested) for operational and security purposes. See their respective privacy policies linked below.

3. Why it is collected

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule conversations
  • To deliver the services you have engaged
  • To process payments and meet tax obligations
  • To maintain operational records of our engagement

The legal bases on which the practice processes your personal information are: (a) your consent, where you have given it; (b) the performance of a contract with you; (c) compliance with legal obligations; and (d) the practice's legitimate interest in operating its work.

4. How it is used

Information you share is used only to fulfill the engagement you have requested. It is never sold, never shared with third parties for their marketing, and never used to build an audience for unrelated purposes.

The practice does not send a newsletter or marketing emails unless you have explicitly subscribed.

The practice relies on the following service providers to operate. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Engagement records (briefs, memos, correspondence) are retained for as long as the engagement is active, and for 7 years thereafter for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
  • General inquiry emails not leading to engagement are retained for 2 years.
  • Payment records held by Paddle are retained per Paddle's own retention policy.

7. Your rights

You may request:

  • A copy of the personal information held about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • That processing of your information be restricted or that you receive a portable copy

If you are a resident of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comparable data-protection law, you have additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. International transfers

Some of the service providers listed above are based outside your country of residence (notably in the United States). Where personal information is transferred internationally, it is done under appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

This notice may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
